Michael Paul Kramer - The Airport Pianist
As a minimalist composer and pianist, I play exclusively in the dynamic and busy terminal space of airports. My music is inspired by Ludovico Einaudi, Yann Tiersen, and Hans Zimmer and it blends simplicity with emotion
For airports, a public piano in the departure area has the potential to enhance passenger experience. It could offer some relaxation for those waiting to board their flights. Travelers could carry the music in their ears, leaving a lasting impression
This is where I perform, where departure and arrival meet, offering solo piano music that oscillates with the rhythms of movement and stillness, much like travel itself

Minimalistic solo piano pieces are ideal for calming down, relaxing and enjoying quality time. My music fills the existing gap between minimalism and neoclassicism. While my soothing and sometimes melancholic compositions revolve around simplicity, they are influenced by by modern neo-classical composers such as Yann Tiersen, Ludovico Einaudi and Ólafur Arnalds, and integrate elements of classical music from artists such as Frederic Chopin and Erik Satie. My compositions can be found with various record labels, most recently at WRD Music, London. Listening to music can have a very calming effect on the mind and body, helping to relieve stress. Sit down, lean back, relax, and enjoy calm and sensitive solo piano pieces.
Yours, Michael Paul
